Join us for a field trip to Bok Tower Gardens! Explore, discover and participate in a range of programs that include the self-guided exploration, Pinewood Estate tours and our Earth Day Celebration. It is our hope and goal to provide education and encourage today’s students to become leaders in the preservation and conservation of our natural and cultural world.
The Garden Campus offers programs throughout the year that provide great field trip opportunities for students.
- Trips and events include the use of picnic areas – complete with large sandbox, vine-covered tunnel and sabal palm tree house
- Free parking
- Reservations required for groups of 10 or more
Nature Explorations Garden Hunt & Pinewood Estate Home Tour
(Grades 3-8)
Begin your field trip with a 9-minute film in our Visitor Center. Then, your group is invited to visit Pinewood Estate for a 45-minute guided tour of the historic home. You and your students can then engage in a self-guided sensory visit through the Gardens which encourages students to stop at various points in the gardens to see, feel or touch specific items and record them in their Garden Hunt booklet provided.
$9 per student, 2 free chaperones per 15 students, additional chaperones $13 each

Explore the Gardens in small groups at your own pace with the help of our garden hunt. Begin your field trip with a 9-minute film in our Visitor Center. Celebrate Earth Day at Bok Tower Gardens! As part of our educational mission to preserve and share Edward Bok’s legacy, we’re thinking forward, and promoting the movement of getting children back in nature. Join in this fun-filled educational day with your students, and learn about protecting wildlife, Florida’s ancient islands, gardening, and more. It is our hope to foster children to be leaders in the preservation and conservation of our natural world. Participate in hands-on activities offered by environmental exhibitors from around Central Florida.
